Baker College Professional Services, Inc. seeks to hire an individual to be assigned to the position of FULL-TIME FACULTY – NURSING for the benefit of and to be located at Baker of Muskegon.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The cyclical nature of teaching and learning is the foundation of duties for Baker College’s faculty. To strive for continual improvement of student success, faculty members must plan an optimal learning environment; provide high quality instruction; assess themselves, their students, and their teaching techniques in order to foster teaching effectiveness; continue their own professional development and maintain their discipline skill and knowledge expertise.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
● Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university preferred; Master of Science in Nursing degree from an accredited college or university required
● Currently licensed by the Michigan State Board of Nursing required (unrestricted)
● Nursing clinical experience required
● 2 year of college level teaching experience preferred
● Experience with accreditation preferred
● Must have willingness to travel to clinical sites and off site system meetings
● Must be computer literate with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps
● Must have excellent written, and presentation skill

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Teaching: 80-90%
● Proctors Kaplan testing as assigned by program director
● Portfolio advising as assigned by program director
● Teach skills laboratory/simulation and clinical courses as assigned
● 10-20% to be negotiated on an annual basis for scholarship, service, practice, and administrative responsibilities
● Scholarship:
● Conduct research specific to clinical practice, or academic practice which supports the mission of the School of Nursing and Baker College
● Service:
● Clinical practice
● Observations, other clinical experiences
● Volunteer activities (medical missions, community engagement, etc.
● Practice:
● Maintain clinical expertise
● Maintain clinical proficiency
● Leadership/Administration:
● Participate in School of Nursing and campus faculty meetings within the School of Nursing
● Clinical coordination of duties as assigned by program director
● Provide mentorship/advising for student nursing organizations, such as SNA
● Other duties and projects as assigned

WORK SCHEDULE: 9 month position. This schedule will vary based on class and clinical schedule. May require travel and/ or
summer hours.

REPORTS TO: Program Director of Nursing

STARTING DATE: July 9, 2018

COMPENSATION: Salary based on education, experience, and existing wage rates paid for similar positions within Baker
College Professional Services, Inc. Full benefit package.
