Baker College Professional Services, Inc. seeks to hire an individual to be assigned to the position of ADJUNCT FACULTY (PART-TIME) for the benefit of and to be located at Baker of Auburn Hills.
 
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The primary purpose of the Part-Time Adjunct Faculty person is to teach courses in areas of their expertise.
 
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
 
HEALTH SCIENCE PROGRAMS:
 

  • Nursing – Doctoral degree in Nursing with Registered Nurse (RN) license and related work experience preferred; Master of Science degree in Nursing with Registered Nurse (RN) license (or evidence of a plan to obtain Master of Science degree in Nursing) required; Basic Cardiac Life Support required; Related work experience required; Previous college teaching experience preferred


ENGINEERING PROGRAMS:
 

  • Computer Aid Design (CAD) – Bachelor’s degree in related area, certification and relevant work experience preferred; Associate degree in related area and relevant work experience required; Previous college teaching experience preferred
  • All areas must be computer literate with Microsoft Office Suite, Waypoint, Blackboard, Google Apps, and Solar System
  • All areas must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • All areas must have the ability to teach day time, evenings, and weekends for the above courses

 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teach up to a maximum of 12-credit hours per quarter
  • Revise, review and/or develop curriculum, as assigned
  • Attend Professional Development training as required
  • Collect and submit required assessment of student learning data
  • Participate in appropriate system committees, subcommittees, projects, and activities
  • Other duties as assigned

 
 
WORK SCHEDULE: Varies by course section and class availability
 
REPORTS TO: Vice President of Academic Affairs
 
STARTING DATE: Fall Semester 2017 (August 28, 2017)
 
COMPENSATION: Compensation based on education and existing rates for similar positions within Baker College Professional Services, Inc.
